A well-scoped inquiry reduces back-and-forth and keeps uncertainty visible. Begin with the known facts, then list what still needs verification.

  1. Identify: material name, supplier, coating, thickness, dimensions, and batch if available.
  2. Define: acceptable edge, mark contrast, engraving depth, joint, dimensional result, or visual reference.
  3. Quantify: prototype count, expected batch size, and time target without presenting the target as guaranteed output.
  4. Constrain: room, extraction, enclosure, utilities, operator skill, and applicable approval path.
